With its origins firmly based on the Fender's early design, the Player Strat gives players access to the classic Strat look and sound as used by guitar heroes such as Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck and Hank Marvin, to name but a few, all whilst maintaining an affordable price point. The Player Strat features a double cutaway alder body which is married to a maple neck that has been carved into a highly playable Modern "C" profile. The neck itself is topped with a 9.5" radius fingerboard that hosts dot inlays and set with 22 medium jumbo frets.
Loaded with the traditional three single coil setup, in this case, the new Player Series Alnico 5 single coils, and wired through a 5-way pickup selector switch with one volume and two tone controls, tonal versatility is the order of the day. Whether you fancy the bright, edgy bridge pickup, the warmth of the neck pickup or some of those classic 'in between' tones, it's all easily accessible. The Strat's flexible tonal selection is one of the reasons why the Strat still such a popular model, able to cover and excel within a huge variety of genres.
